Sophomore Adam Benson, a member of the Lakeland men's soccer team, has been named honorable mention All-Wisconsin NCAA Division III by local members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Benson, a midfielder from Anoka, Minn., finished the 2009 season with three goals and a team-high five assists. He was named second-team All-Northern Athletics Conference and also received CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 5 second team accolades.
Benson started all 19 matches for the Muskies, who finished 8-10-1 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
A total of 33 players from around the state were selected to the All-Wisconsin teams.
