Blahnik receives CoSIDA Academic All-America honor

Senior guard KC Blahnik has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Second Team for women's basketball as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

She was eligible for the award after being selected to the First Team Academic All-District V team earlier this season with a 3.93 grade-point average while majoring in psychology.

The fourth best scorer in the Northern Athletics Conference this season with 15.2 points per game, she also is ranked sixth in steals per game (2.5), rebounds per game (8.6) and field goal percentage (.448).

This is her second Academic All-America honor, as she was named to the Third Team for softball in 2009.
