Blahnik selected to Inside Wisconsin Sports All-State team

Lakeland women's basketball senior KC Blahnik (Gladstone, Mich.) has been named to the 2010 Inside Wisconsin Sports DII/DIII All-State Hoops second team as announced in the magazine's April issue.

Blahnik averaged a career-high 15 points, good for fourth in the Northern Athletics Conference, and 8.7 rebounds in 29 games. She helped guide the Muskies to a 22-7 record and the programs' first NAC Tournament championship, as well as the team's first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2005-06 season. She became one of eight players in program history to score at least 1,000 points on Jan. 23 against MSOE and ends her career sixth all-time in  points with 1,192.

A three-time all-NAC selection, she was named 2010 NAC Player of the Year and was selected first team All-NAC for the first time in her career.

Away from the court, she was selected to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America second team after being named to the district V first team.
