The Lakeland women's volleyball team fell to Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-2 (23-25, 25-14, 19-25, 25-21, 11-15) in Northern Athletics Conference play Thursday night at the Moose and Dona Woltzen gymnasium.
The Warriors took advantage of the Muskies in the first set and won 25-23. Lakeland battled back in the set two and won 25-14. Wisconsin Lutheran however, proved too much for the Muskies to overcome and won sets three and five.
Head coach Chad Schreiber was disappointed with his team's play and effort.
"We were horrible tonight," said Schreiber. "Our effort was inexcusable and this kind of effort wouldn't win a high school freshmen game."
Lakeland falls to 1-1 in the NAC and continues conference play Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Edgewood College.
The Muskies return to action next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24-25 at the Ripon Tournament in Ripon, Wisconsin.
