The Lakeland College women's volleyball team kept its NAC tournament hopes alive Tuesday night with a victory over Marian University 3-0 (25-19, 12-15, 25-15, 25-22).
On senior night, it was the young players that stole the show. Junior Allison Davis led the Muskies with 16 kills and four blocks while freshman Anna Faust led on defense with 14 digs. Senior setter Kristine Raeder led Lakeland with 30 assists and was second with 10 digs. Senior outside Sam Shepeck added nine kills and nine digs.
With the win the Muskies improved to 6-19 overall, 3-7 in the Northern Athletics Conference. With a few wins and some help, the Muskies have a shot at the conference tournament.
Lakeland continues its bid for the NAC tournament on Friday, Oct. 22 when it travels to Aurora to face the Spartans, a 7 p.m. start.
