Junior graduate Allison Davis, a middle hitter on the Lakeland College volleyball team, is off to a great start to her junior season.
This past weekend, Davis led the Muskies to a 2-2 record at the Ripon Invitational and was named to the All-Tournament team. She had 46 kills (3.07/game) with a .242 attack percentage, four assists and four service aces. Davis was also a key defensively for the Muskies as she led the team with 15 total blocks (2 solo, 13 assists) and nine digs. Davis recorded season match highs in kills in a three-game match against UW-River Falls with 11 and in a four-game match against Ripon College with 14.
Davis leads the Muskies this year with 117 kills (2.92/game), 19 serving aces, and 42 total blocks (1.05/game). She is currently seventh in the conference in kills, eighth in serving aces, third in blocks and fifth in points per game.
"Allison has been the best player on the team this year and still continues to get better," said Lakeland head coach Chad Schreiber. "She has really matured and she's more athletic than her opponents and plays to her strengths. She has risen to the challenges of better opponents and her aggressive, confident play has made those around her better."
Davis and the Muskies return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Edgewood College in Madison, Wis.
