Muskies defeat Golden Eagles

The Lakeland College men's volleyball team snapped a two-game losing streak as they beat WVC foe Marquette University, 3-1 (25-22, 24-26, 25-16, 25-23) on Thursday night.
The Muskies (13-13, 7-5 WVC) were able to make some runs and stay motivated on the court to secure the win.
The Muskies played well in all phases of the game. At the net, sophomore Dane Maier (Middleton, Wis.) led the team with 15 kills, while senior Beau Bradshaw (Oak Lawn, Ill.) added 13 kills and freshman Glenn Frost (Hanover Park, Ill.) tallied 11 kills. Senior setter Chris Kubacki led the team with 31 assists.
On defense three players had five blocks each including Kubacki, freshman Rafal Kokoszka (Palos Heights, Ill.) and junior Jared Sparrey (Oak Forest, Ill.).

The Muskies return to action on Saturday, March 26, as they travel to Columbus, Ohio to take part in the MIVA Championships. The start times and opponents are TBA.
