Softball to host numerous special events in April

The Lakeland College softball team will host three special events during the team's April home games.

Saturday, April 16, is Family Day at Muskie Field. Family members and parents are encouraged to attend Lakeland's doubleheader against Dominican University at 12 p.m. Refreshments will be served at the Younger Family Youth Center after the completion of the second game.

Tuesday, April 19, is Strike Out Parkinson's Day. Members of the softball team will wear Parkinson's T-shirts to help raise awareness in their Northern Athletics Conference doubleheader against Wisconsin Lutheran College at 3 p.m. Lakeland is hosting a seminar about Parkinson's at 11 a.m. in the Wehr Center multiple purpose room. Speakers will discuss the effects of the disease and its impacts on family and friends.

The Muskies' last home game on Saturday, April 30, has been slated for Alumni Day. Former players and their families are invited to attend Lakeland's game against Milwaukee School of Engineering at 12 p.m.
