Muskies win first game, fall to Alma

The Lakeland College women's volleyball team lost its final match at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational on Saturday.

The Muskies (0-4) lost to Alma College 3-1 (15-25, 14-25, 25-17, 20-25).

"It was nice to finally win a game," said Lakeland head coach Jon Staabs. "We still have a lot to learn but the ceiling for this team is very high. We have a lot of talent on this team; they just have to learn to play together."

The Muskies return to action next Friday, Sept. 9, when they face University of Wisconsin-Superior in the first match of the Pizza Hut Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
