Muskies suffer Homecoming loss to Eagles

The Lakeland College women's volleyball team lost its Homecoming contest to Edgewood College on Wednesday night.

The Muskies (6-18, 3-6 NAC) lost in four sets to the Eagles, 3-1 (25-14, 16-25, 14-25, 22-25).

"We played well in game one," said Lakeland College head coach Jon Staabs. "We struggled to serve receive in the second game and we just couldn't recover. We've been good when we are in-system; however, when we get out of system we aren't effective. We just need to learn to be better out of system and we can be more competitive."

Lakeland returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 18 as they travel to Fond du Lac, Wis. to face Marian University at 7 p.m.
