Lakeland can't hold on to 4-0 lead in loss to Red Devils

Junior Heather Haeflinger hit a triple and went 2-for-4 at the plate, but the Lakeland College softball team suffered a 6-4 loss to Dickinson College in game eight of the Tucson Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.

The Muskies (2-6) scored four runs in the first inning, but the Red Devils chipped away at Lakeland's defense to earn the early-season win.

Lakeland returns to action today in the team's last two games at the Tucson Invitational. The Muskies take on Trinity University (Texas) at 2:30 p.m. and then Nazareth College at 4:30 p.m. CST.
