The Lakeland College men's basketball team suffered an 86-68 loss to Edgewood College in Northern Athletics Conference North Division action Wednesday night at Woltzen Gym.
The Muskies (3-2, 2-1 NAC) struggled from the floor the entire game and couldn't find an answer for the hot-shooting Eagles. Edgewood (8-0, 3-0 NAC) hit 32-of-57 shots en route to a 56.1 percent shooting display. Lakeland shot 38.3 percent from the floor, 25 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
It was an up and down battle in the first half with the Muskies taking a seven point advantage at the 12:27 mark, but the Eagles used a 33-16 run to take a 10-point, 44-34 lead heading into the locker room.
The Eagles shot 63 percent from the floor in the second half to remain undefeated on the season.
Senior Josh Regal (Suring) and junior Jake Schwarz (Sheboygan) led the team with 13 points apiece, while Regal grabbed a game-high six rebounds.
Edgewood's Kent Faurote led all scorers with 26 points.
The Muskies return to NAC action on Saturday as they host Concordia University Chicago in a cross-division contest. Tipoff is set for 4:15 p.m. in Woltzen Gym.
