Muskies rout Lakers in non-conference action

Junior Jake Schwarz scored 20 points to lead the Lakeland College men's basketball team to an 87-59 win over Silver Lake College in non-conference action Saturday afternoon in Manitowoc, Wis.

The Muskies (5-2, 3-1 NAC) shot 47.8 percent from the floor and held the Lakers to just 33.3 percent shooting to claim their fourth-straight victory over Silver Lake.

Schwarz (Sheboygan) led all scorers with 20 points, while sophomores James Oshkeshequoam (Shawano) and Justin Ward (Wisconsin Dells) chipped in with 19 and 18 points, respectively.

Sophomore Eric Strzok (Thorp) grabbed a career-high nine rebounds and scored four points on 2-for-2 shooting.

Lakeland returns to action on Dec. 29 as they take on Trine University as part of the Defiance College Tournament in Defiance, Ohio. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. EST.
