Van Straten named NAC Player of the Week

Sophomore quarterback Dylan Van Straten has been named the Northern Athletics Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performances during Sept. 19-25.

Van Straten garnered the award after rushing for 57 yards on seven attempts and scoring two touchdowns, while completing 3-of-6 passes for 53 yards in the first half on Saturday. The sophomore quarterback led the Muskies (0-3) to their first two touchdowns of the season and finished the day passing 6-of-14 for 114 yards, one interception.

The Shiocton, Wis. native will look to lead the Muskies to their first win on Saturday, Oct. 1 against Aurora University. Van Straten was also named Lakeland's Muskie of the Week.
