Three Muskies garner NFCA All-America honors

Three members of the Lakeland College softball team were named 2011 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-America Scholar Athletes.

Juniors Jennifer LaLuzerne (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) and Heather Haeflinger (Shawano, Wis.) and sophomore McKenna Wenzel (Brillion, Wis.) garnered the award after achieving a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2010-11 academic year.

A total of 4,331 athletes earned the honor, 30 more than last year. Athletes were nominated by their respective member coaches.
