The Cardinals of North Central College handed the Lakeland College women's soccer team a 6-0 loss in non-conference action Monday night in Naperville, Ill.
North Central first struck in the 20th minute and capped another goal at the 24:29 mark to take a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The Muskies (4-12, 3-6 NAC) couldn't stop the Cardinals' offense in the second half as they netted four goals for a convincing win.
"The girls played descent tonight," said head coach Tony Pierce. "We played well in the first 15 minutes of the second half, but North Central attacked well with speed and caught us off guard."
Freshman goalkeeper Katelyn Streeter (Oakfield) recorded 13 saves as she faced 40 shots during the game.
The Muskies return to Northern Athletics Conference action tomorrow as they travel to Milwaukee, Wis., to take on MSOE. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Uihlein.
