As part of Lakeland College's homecoming celebration, alumni from the women's soccer team converged on Lakeland to play in the college's annual alumni game.
A total of 12 alumni from the women's soccer team took the pitch at 11 a.m. to lace up their boots and reminisce about their Muskie playing days. Members included: Maria Santelli, Megan Stock, Kelly (Hopfinger) Holm, Tracy Bins, Gina Weiss, Lola Engel, Amy (Christenson) Buchman, Jacqui Drexler, Jessica Hopfinger, Elisa Waltz, Megan Andrews and Jillian Sauer.
"It was great to see so many alumni come back and show their appreciation for the program," said second-year head coach Tony Pierce. "Our alumni are very important to the program because of the influence they have on our current players. It's nice for our current players to see what they have gone on to do and it opens up a networking opportunity for them."
After the alumni game, everyone stayed to watch the Muskies take on Aurora University. "Their support means a lot to the program," said Pierce.
