Senior Nicole Shavlik and sophomore Brittany Jurek were named to the All-Northern Athletics Conference team, the league announced Saturday.
Shavlik garnered All-NAC Singles recognition after posting a 7-4 record at No. 1 singles and advancing to the third round of the NAC Tournament on Oct. 8-9. She helped lead the Muskies to its first two-plus win season since 2003.
This marks the second straight year the Two Rivers, Wis., native earned All-NAC honors. Shavlik finished her career with a 22-14 record.
Jurek was named to the NAC All-Sportsmanship team after compiling a 5-7 record at No. 4 singles. Jurek, a member of the college's softball team, was new to tennis, but seamlessly adapted to the game.
The Gladstone, Mich., native competed in her first-ever tennis match on Sept. 3, where she earned her first victory en route to a 9-0 team win against Rockford College.
