- ABOUT LAKELAND

This week, the Lakeland College women's basketball team plays three games in five days, including two Northern Athletics Conference North Division games. The Muskies host Wisco
nsin Lutheran College on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m., followed by a trip to Mequon, Wis. to face Concordia, Wis. on Thursday, Dec. 8, also at 7 p.m. They will play a cross-division contest on Saturday, Dec. 10 when they host Concordia Chicago at 2 p.m.
Lakeland (2-2, 1-1) lost its only contest last week, falling to NAC south division foe, Dominican University, 71-68, on a last-second 3-point shot. Turnovers and poor execution late in the game cost the Muskies a win. Junior forward Becky Mayo had 24 points and 16 rebounds, while sophomore Jessica Genke also had 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Last season, Wisconsin Lutheran swept the Muskies, winning 58-48 in Milwaukee and 60-58 at Lakeland. The Muskies will look for some payback this season as they hope to make some noise in conference play.
This week, the Muskies will be looking to get offense from someone other than the big two inside.
