Muskies fall to No. 12- ranked Central College

The Lakeland College softball team suffered a 12-1 loss to No. 12-ranked Central College late Thursday night at the Tucson Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.

The Muskies (2-6) were led by senior Leah Sheahan who went 1-for-1 at the plate with one run scored. Lakeland got down early in the game, giving up eight runs in the first inning.

Defensively, Lakeland gave up 12 runs on 12 hits.

The Muskies return to action tomorrow in the team's last two games at the Tucson Invitational. Lakeland takes on Trinity University (Texas) at 2:30 p.m. and then takes on Nazareth College at 4:30 p.m. CST.
