- ABOUT LAKELAND

This week, the Lakeland College women's basketball team will play two home games. The Muskies begin the week with a Northern Athletics Conference North Division contest against Alverno College followed by a NAC cross-division game against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Last week the Muskies had a disappointing 1-2 record, losing to Maranatha Ba
ptist Bible College (56-53) and Marian University (75-48) before winning at Aurora University (60-48). In the three games Lakeland averaged 53.7 points, 38.3 rebounds and 19.7 turnovers per game. Junior Becky Mayo (Gladstone, Mich.) was the only player to average double-figures, scoring 11 points and grabbing 5.3 rebounds. Sophomore Jessica Genke (Kiel, Wis.) led the team with 9.7 rebounds per game while adding 9.7 points per contest.
The Muskies will look put some room between themselves and Edgewood in the NAC North division as the two are currently tied for fourth place and the final spot in the NAC tournament for the North.
