The Lakeland College wrestling team hopes to get back to its traditional winning ways this week at the Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Wheaton, Ill.
A total of 34 teams and more than 340 wrestlers will compete to finish atop their respective weight classes at the annual Wheaton Invite. The Muskies will again face top-tier competition, including No. 3-ranked University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and No. 8 Olivet College. Lakeland hasn't had a tournament champion at the Wheaton Invite since 2008 and will look to put a grappler on the podium this year.
Competition begins at 11 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
