As the second half of the Northern Athletics Conference season continues, the Lakeland College men's basketball team finds itself in a run for a NAC Championship.
The 15-4 Muskies have two key league contests this week, starting on the road tomorrow at Edgewood College in another battle for first place in the North Division. Lakeland, Edgewood and Concordia University Wisconsin are all tied for first in the NAC North at 9-2. Edgewood, also (15-4 overall, handed Lakeland its first NAC loss on Dec. 7, 2011, in the Moose and Dona Woltzen Gymnasium, 86-68. Lakeland closes out the week by hosting Benedictine University on Saturday in cross-division play. Benedictine leads the NAC South Division with a 7-4 league record and has won fivestraight games to stay atop the division.
Lakeland clinched a NAC Tournament berth with a 95-62 win over the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Jan. 28.
