This week in men's volleyball

This week, the Lakeland College men's volleyball team starts the week with a home contest against UW-Platteville on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Muskies will travel to Marquette University to take part in the MIVA - Midwest 10 play day. Lakeland will play six matches in 10 hours.

Last week, Lakeland went 1-2, losing a tough 3-2 match to Marquette University, followed by a 1-1 finish at the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Crossovers, beating 

The Muskies got several contributions from their freshmen and also had terrific defense from senior Andrew Cheever, who set the Lakeland career digs mark in the loss to UW-La Crosse. Cheever recorded his 1,134th dig, breaking the all-time career digs record of 1,133 set by Joe Julkowski, the team's current head coach, from 2006-2010.
