This week in men's volleyball

This week, the Lakeland College men's volleyball team returns to Wisconsin Volleyball Conference play with two road contests. The Muskies will face the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday, Feb. 8, and then will visit the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Last week, Lakeland traveled to Marquette University in Milwaukee to take part in the Midwest 10 play day. The Muskies finished the day 2-4, losing to No. 1 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, No. 22 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, No. 14 Northern Illinois University and Illinois State University. Their two victories came against Iowa State and Ball State.

Freshman Alec Redlich (Wauwatosa, Wis.) led the Muskies offense with a tournament-best 58 kills, while fellow freshman Braden Woods (Downers Grove, Ill.) added 39 kills. Senior Andrew Cheever (Greenfield, Wis.) led Lakeland's defense with 48 digs.
