Muskies announce dates for 2012 Spring Training Baseball Camp

Lakeland College head baseball coach Michael Bachar has announced the program's 2012 spring training baseball camp dates. On Feb. 19, the Muskies will welcome all students, grades 7-12, to the Lakeland College campus to take part in their annual camp.

The day will consist of two sessions: A pitching/catching session from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and a hitting session from 1-4 p.m. The cost for each session, pitching or hitting, is $50, however, campers can participate in both sessions for $75 total.

The pitching/catching session provides campers with mechanics, throwing off a mound and proper arm care. The hitting session is designed for campers to work on their technique, drills and approach to hitting.

For those who choose to participate in both sessions, pizza will be available for lunch.

"I'm excited to host my sixth consecutive camp at Lakeland College," said Bachar. "We've had great turnouts in the past and I expect this year to be more of the same. My coaching staff enjoys working with the campers and teaching the same fundamentals that we instill in our players."
