This week, the Lakeland College men's volleyball team hosts the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association - Midwest 10 Volleyball Conference Play Day and Championship on Saturday, March 3, beginning at 9 a.m.
The first three matches of the day consist of the completion of round-robin competition, which will help seed the teams for tournament play. In their first match, Lakeland will play National Collegiate Volleyball Federation No. 1 Notre Dame at 9 a.m. on court one, followed by a match against Marquette University at 11 a.m., also on court one. Their seed will be determined after the completion of the 11 a.m. matches. .jpg)

Last week, the Muskies (10-11, 4-4 WVC) finally put together a solid day of volleyball, winning six of seven sets against the University of Wisconsin - Stout Blue Devils.
In the first match, Lakeland found a rhythm and swept the Blue Devils, 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-12). In the second match, Lakeland battled hard and overcame a minor hiccup, winning in four sets, 3-1 (25-22, 29-27, 19-25, 25-19).
The Muskies hope to improve their national ranking and gain momentum as they set their sights on a national championship.
