Erin Greenfield recorded 14 kills and Wisconsin Lutheran College humbled the Lakeland College women's volleyball team with a three-set sweep of the Muskies Tuesday night in a Northern Athletics Conference match.

The Warriors were better throughout the match, committing fewer errors and coming through late in all three sets. Wisconsin Lutheran got its first NAC win, improving to 1-3 in conference and 8-10 overall.

Lakeland saw the momentum of its strong play slowed up as it dropped to 12-5 overall and 2-1 in the NAC. The Muskies hit just .059 for the match with 24 errors, trailing much of the night and unable to take advantage when presented chances to get in the match.

Wisconsin Lutheran took control of the first set midway through, overcoming an early edge by Lakeland. The Muskies led by three on two occasions early, but the Warriors finished the set on a 15-4 run to win easily.

The Warriors got off to a good start in the second set as well with an early 10-4 lead before the Muskies settled in. Lakeland tied the set at 14-14 and led 22-20 in the late going, but WLC scored five of the final six points, taking advantage of a pair of hitting errors and a service error to win the set.

Despite a ten-minute intermission to get things together, Lakeland was beaten soundly in the third set as well. Wisconsin Lutheran never trailed in the set, building an early four-point lead and holding off a brief Muskie charge late. The match ended with Lakeland committing a pair of service errors, two of the nine serving errors the team committed in the match.

Caleigh Galvan (Fr.-New Lenox, Ill.) paced the Muskie attack with seven kills. Brittany Reindl (Jr.-Kenosha, Wis.) finished with 25 assists and Reindl and Anna Faust (Jr.-Cross Plains, Wis.) both finished with 11 digs while Melissa Christiansen (Jr.-Valders, Wis.).

The Muskies take to the road Friday to face Aurora (Ill.) University in an NAC match at 7 p.m. in Aurora.
