Vote for Jake Schwarz for Division III College All-Star Game

Fans have a chance right now to vote Lakeland College senior Jake Schwarz (Sheboygan, Wis.) into the 2013 Reese's Division III College All-Star Game, as online voting has begun for the final spots in the game.

Voting is taking place on the D3hoops.com website starting today at 11 a.m. CT and going until 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13. One spot is available for each of the teams in the game which will be played March 23 prior to the NCAA Division III men's basketball championship semifinal games at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Fans will be able to choose from a list with the top senior student-athlete in each of the eight Division III regions whose teams are no longer participating in the NCAA tournament. The two top vote-getters will join 16 other seniors, two from each region, who were selected by a committee vote, for a total of nine student-athletes per side.

Schwarz finished his Muskie career this season by setting the Lakeland men's basketball all-time scoring record with 2,199 points. He also was named the Northern Athletics Conference Player of the Year and completed his career as the NAC leader in points, rebounds, field goals made and free throws made.
