Greenville (season stats unavailable) - Lee Thompson, QB, Tony Speck, QB, Dontrell Harriel, RB, Jake Clark, WR, Matt Zulim, WR, Caleb Stuber, LB, Luke Stuber, LB.
Outlook: The two teams boast similar offensive schemes, moving the ball behind a balanced run and pass attack. However, the Muskies have been much more beneficial with theirs than the Panthers. Greenville enters the game at a modest fourth in the conference in total team offense. The Panthers operate behind quarterbacks Lee Thompson and Tony Speck. Speck and running back Dontrell Harriel have received more and more playing time as the season has progressed and led the team to victory last week. On defense, the Panthers rank last in the conference, not a good stat to possess when facing the conference's number one offense.
That number one offense belongs to the Muskies, who are led by senior quarterback Brent Luebke. Luebke is having a terrific season, leading the conference in passing by over 700 yards. He will look for senior standouts Jeff Taff and Shaun "Bird" Behrend. Last week, Luebke hooked up with Behrend seven times for 191 yards. When they need to pound the ball on the ground, they will give it to freshman tailback Marcus Denham, who rushed 22 times last week for 72 yards. On the other side of the ball, the Muskies boast the number two defense in the conference. Last week the Muskies held Aurora to 129 yards of total offense and a microscopic 22 yards rushing on 30 attempts.
Coaches: Jim Zebrowski is 6-2 in his first year at head coach for Lakeland. Head Coach Scotty Kessler is in his second year with the Spartans.
Last Year: The Muskies beat the Panthers 39-7 at home last season.
