Illini-Badger Football Conference Announces All-Conference Awards

The Lakeland College Football Team received numerous honors when the IBFC announced its 2003 All-Conference Awards. Senior quarterback Brent Luebke received honors for Outstanding Offensive Back, while Senior wide receiver Jeff Taff received his second straight Outstanding Wide Receiver Award. Both players also received First Team honors.

Among the other Muskie selections for First Team were Senior offensive lineman Nick Fox, Senior wide receiver Shaun Behrend, Junior tight end Jed Manders, Sophomore defensive lineman Nick Zeck, Senior linebacker Roosevelt Moore, and Freshman punter Casey Kedrowski.

Senior offensive lineman Shane Straseske, Sophomore Bryan Vandlen, Senior wide receiver James Hayes, Freshman running back Marcus Denham, Sophomore defensive backs Ryan Van De Loo and junior Jacob Vigilante, Senior defensive linemen Johnnie Ferguson and sophomore Shane Schrimpf, Junior linebacker Sam Scharinger, and Senior kicker Gerald Starner were all Second Team honorees.

Honorable mention honors went to Junior offensive lineman Greg Doiron, Junior running back Travis Gervais, Sophomore tight end Jon Gilmore, Senior defensive back Eric Voigt, and Junior linebacker Mike Gregory.

Overall the Muskies placed an outstanding 23 players on this year's all-conference team.
