Terrific Shooting Sends Muskies Past Maranatha

Even though Maranatha Baptist shot 57 percent from behind the arc, the Lakeland College Men's Basketball Team was still able to pull out the 71-60 victory behind their own hot shooting Tuesday night at Lakeland.

Ryan Hiir and Nick Zeck led the Muskies with 22 points apiece as Zeck also grabbed 13 rebounds. Cory Nickel had his own double-double in the game with 15 points and 10 assists.

Dan Oftsie led the Crusaders with 20 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Gomez and Jim Bonner also scored in double-digits for Maranatha with 16 and 11 points, respectively.

The win improved the Muskies to 8-9 overall and 3-2 in conference.
