Jan. 6, 2004
For the second straight game, the Lakeland College Men's Basketball team could not overcome an ice-cold first half in their 48-58 loss to Viterbo University on January 6.
The Muskies, who made just five of their 21 first half shots (23.8 percent), trailed 10-26 at halftime. They also missed all of their three point shots and all of their free throw attempts in the first 20 minutes.
Cory Nickel had an outstanding game for Lakeland, putting up a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ryan Hiir also added 12 in the losing effort.
The Muskies were without Morten Szmiedowicz, Ricky Davis, and Nick Howard for the game.
Lakeland dropped to 5-9 on the season with the loss.
