Lakeland Soccer Adds Goal Scorer from Minnesota
April 9, 2003

Sheboygan, Wis. - Lakeland College Head Men's Soccer Coach Marc Colwell announced that Sam Schroeder from Big Lake, Minnesota will play soccer for Lakeland next year. Lakeland College is a four-year college located one hour north of Milwaukee in the lakeshore region of Wisconsin and participates in NCAA Division III.

Schroeder is a talented and aggressive goal-scorer who was a four-year starter and two-year team captain at Monticello High School. An All-North Suburban Conference performer his junior and senior seasons, Schroeder was the team's leading scorer the last four seasons. Schroeder plays club soccer for the Plymouth Wings, but will be unable to play this summer as he rehabs a knee injury.

"Sam is a hard working player and I expect him to be fully recovered by pre-season and compete for a spot in the midfield or up top," said Colwell.
