Men's Volleyball Announces Team Awards
May 25, 2003
The Lakeland College Men's Volleyball Team recently announced their team awards for the 2003 season. Six different Muskies received awards from head coach Chad Schreiber. The Coached Award went to Jon Lewicki. The MVP ward went to Dave Koch, while the Rookie of the Year Awrad was presented to Adam Plach. Chris Gornik earned the Most Improved Award and Lee Neagle was choosen the Most Valuable Player off the Bench. Finally, Brett Bloomdahl earned the Sportsmanship Award.

NIRSA Nationals All-Tournament Team Announced
April 19th, 2003
The Lakeland College Men's Volleyball Team recently finished 2nd at the 2003 NIRSA Volleyball National Championships in Columbus, Ohio. With their strong team showing several Muskies received recognition for their indivdual, standout play. Rocky Koenig was named the All-Tournament Libero, while Dave Koch made the 1st Team. Fellow Muskies Duncan Mathieson and Chris Gornik were named to the 2nd Team.

Men's Volleyball -Big Fish in a Big Pond

One of the best things about club volleyball is the opportunity it presents for Lakeland to compete with the largest and most athletically prestigious schools in the nation. This weekend was an example of that and the Muskie men's volleyball team shocked the volleyball world. The team took second at the Hoosier-Illini tournament at Indiana University consisting of 28 teams, 16 of which are ranked in the top 25 in the nation. Key defeats of the weekend include the Division I 6th, 7th and 8th ranked teams, Penn State, UW-Oshkosh and Ball State, respectively. Full story...
