Muskies Finish a Perfect 12-0 in Conference

The Lakeland College Women's Basketball Team finished undefeated in conference
for the first time since they did it in the 1998-1999 season. They stayed undefeated
with a victory over the MSOE Raiders in Milwaukee on Monday night by a score
of 62-42.
Kristi Thill and Aubri Rote had a team-high 16 points for the Muskies. Renee
Steinert tallied 11 points and shined the glass for 10 rebounds as she was able
to record her 6th double-double of the season.
Catherine Chappell was the only person to outscore Thill and Rote as she scored
18 points to lead the Raiders. Along with Chappell, Laurel Wipperfurth also
added 11 points in the losing cause.
The Muskies were able to use their defense to contain the Raiders from MSOE
as they held them to 32.1% shooting from the field. Along with a strong defense,
the Muskies jumped out to a lead in the first half with a 46% shooting effort
from the field and kept the lead by shooting 41.3% for the game.
The Muskies' next game is at Lakeland College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. when
they will host the winner of the 4th seeded Concordia Falcons verses the 5th
seeded MSOE Raiders.
