Muskies Remain Unbeaten in Conference

On a day where temperatures dipped below zero, the shooting inside the Wehr Center was just as cold. However, the Lakeland College Women's Basketball Team heated up in the second to dump the visiting Maranatha Baptist Crusaders by a final score of 63-21.

The Muskies were able to convert successfully on 28 Maranatha turnovers, coupled with 19.4 percent Maranatha shooting to crush the Crusaders.

The Muskies themselves shot just 25.6 percent in the first half but still managed to lead 26-12 at the break.

Renee Steinert led the way for Lakeland with 19 points and nine rebounds. Aubri Rote contributed 12 points and five rebounds for the Muskies.

Lakeland has now won 10 of their last 12 games to improve their record to 12-5 overall and still remain unbeaten in conference at 5-0.
