2011 Girls Basketball Camp Information

Girls Basketball Camp 2011
Grades 4-8
July 22-24, 2011

The Lakeland coaching staff is excited to be hosting the 2011 Girls Basketball Camp and is looking forward to teaching your athlete the skills necessary to compete in basketball in a fun and educational manner. The camp philosophy is to provide solid fundamental basketball skills in a relaxed atmosphere. We will teach techniques that are vital to the athlete in reaching their fullest potential both on and off the court.

Each session is designed to ensure that the campers enjoy their time while gaining a valuable learning experience. Coaches will actively teach athletes all the techniques used at Lakeland College that have helped the players become Conference Champions and NCAA Division III Tournament Qualifers.

The Individual Basketball Camp will focus on each camper individually emphasizing the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting in an atmosphere that allows campers to enjoy playing the game. Contests and games are designed with participation and enjoyment of the game in mind. The camp will be led by the Lakeland Women's Basketball staff as well as current players.

For the overnight camp, 4 meals will be provided for the campers (breakfast, lunch and dinner on the first full day; breakfast on the last day). For the commuter camp, 1 meal will be provided (lunch on the first full day). Snacks are provided for both groups.
