Women's Basketball Recruits

A college basketball program should provide you with a competitive basketball experience. The women's basketball program here at Lakeland College takes that notion one step further.

Our coaching staff and players believe that the philosophies of our basketball program will provide you not only with a positive athletic experience, but with many opportunities aimed at your total development.

Lakeland's excellence in education, small student/teacher ratio, and commitment to career placement are only a few of the qualities that have attracted Division I, II, and III student athletes.

Academically, the results of our small classes and unique style are close, personal relationships with faculty and fellow students. As a student athlete at Lakeland College, the only number you will be known by is your jersey number.

Athletically, the women's basketball team takes pride not only in our conference championships and our win-loss record, but more importantly in our team chemistry, friendships, community service, and other activities off of the court. With our "no cut" policy, all players with a hard work ethic and positive attitude can contribute to the Lakeland College Women's Basketball Experience!

Conference & National Associations

Lakeland College is a Member of the Lake Michigan Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III.

We soared into the national scene during the 1998 - 1999 season becoming the first of any team at Lakeland College or in the Lake Michigan Conference to receive an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Beginning with the1999 - 2000 season, the winner of the Lake Michigan Conference Tournament receives an automatic bid into NCAA post-season play.

Schedule

Along with our competitive LMC schedule, we compete against strong non-conference opponents, fly to warm weather destinations, and schedule some of the top DIII colleges in the Midwest. With such scheduling, we have established our program as one of the top private colleges in the region.
