The Lakeland College Women's Soccer team, the 2002 and 2003 Lake Michigan Conference Champions, has released their 2004 schedule. The Muskies will open the season with a home contest versus Ripon College at 3:00 p.m. The Muskies then travel to Rock Island, Illinois, to compete in the Augustana College Tournament on September 4-5. The Lakeland College Women’s Soccer Team will be hosted by the Washington University Bears in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, November 12th, 2003 in the first round of the NCAA National Tournament. Women's Soccer Plays For NCAA Bid
November 7, 2003

Sheboygan WI- Muskie Field, on the Lakeland College Campus, will be the venue for the Lake Michigan Conference Women's Soccer final round match-up, between the Lakeland College Muskies and the Falcons of Concordia University, on Saturday, November 8 at noon. The game puts the first seeded Muskies 10-10 (5-1 in LMC) against the third seeded Falcons 12-9 (4-2 in LMC). The game promises to be an exciting affair as both teams will be playing for a chance to advance to the NCAA National Tournament. In the regular season, the Muskies defeated Concordia 3-0 in Mequon. Smith 2nd In The Nation For Points Per Game In Women's Soccer
Nov. 1, 2003

Sheboygan, WI- Lakeland College junior forward Amanda Smith (Neenah) is having a great season for the Muskies. Smith is ranked 2nd in the country for NCAA Division III college soccer players in points scored a game (4.00) and 3rd in the country in goals per game (1.67). Smith had 25 goals and 10 assists at the time of the latest ranking. She trails Katie Pettigrew from Luther who leads in both categories with 4.32 points per game and 1.79 goals per game.

Smith helped lead the Lakeland College Women's Soccer Team to their second straight Lake Michigan Conference regular season championship. The Muskies host the semi-finals of the LMC tourney on Wednesday, November 5th.

Lakeland's Smith Goal Scoring Streak Reaches Eight Games
October 29, 2003

Lakeland College junior forward Amanda Smith (Neenah) recorded two goals last night in a win over Marian College to extend her goal scoring streak to eight straight games. During that time, Amanda has amassed 19 goals in leading the Muskies to their second straight Lake Michigan Conference Women's Soccer Regular Season Championship.

The Muskies will be back in action on Wednesday, November 5th when they host the semi-finals of the LMC tournament at 2:00 p.m.

Tracy Bins, a freshman midfielder from Lakeland College was named the Lake Michigan Conference's Player of the Week for the first week of the season. The award was based on the play during the shortened time period of August 29th to the 31st, the opening weekend of the season.

Bins, from New Franken, WI, scored a goal and added an assist in the Muskies' season opening victory (3-1) at Rockford College (Illinois).

Headlining the programs commitment to academics were nine men and six women who received the 2002-2003 Lakeland College-Scholar Athlete Award.
