Tina Weaver Named Women's Soccer Assistant

Former Western Carolina University soccer player Tina Weaver was hired as an
assistant women's soccer coach at Lakeland College. Weaver will replace Julie
Loppacher who served for two seasons.
Weaver was the starting goalkeeper for Western Carolina as a senior playing
for head coach Debbie Hensley. She developed into a team leader and set school
records in career goals against average and career save percentage. Weaver will
graduate from Western Carolina with a Bachelor's of Science in Sports Management.
A native of Horseshoe, North Carolina, Weaver also served as an assistant in
Western Carolina University's Sports Marketing Department for the past two years.
She is currently working as white water rafting guide as part of her internship
and will coach at several soccer camps this summer.
Weaver will arrive on campus in early August to begin her assistant coaching
duties.
