Women's Soccer Plays For NCAA Bid

Sheboygan WI- Muskie Field, on the Lakeland College Campus, will be the venue for the Lake Michigan Conference Women's Soccer final round match-up, between the Lakeland College Muskies and the Falcons of Concordia University, on Saturday, November 8 at noon. The game puts the first seeded Muskies 10-10 (5-1 in LMC) against the third seeded Falcons 12-9 (4-2 in LMC). The game promises to be an exciting affair as both teams will be playing for a chance to advance to the NCAA National Tournament. In the regular season, the Muskies defeated Concordia 3-0 in Mequon.

Lakeland College- The Muskies will be looking to junior forward Amanda Smith (29G 11 A) senior midfielders Meghan Wudtke (7G 3A) and Amy Herzfeldt (11G 2A) for much of their attack. Senior forward Amy Freier (5G 8A) will also be relied heavily upon to produce the fronts and midfielders with good goal scoring opportunities. In the back the Muskies will be led by sophomore, Briana Plautz (9A) and goalkeeper Alli Weiss (6 shutouts).

Concordia- The Falcons will be led by Bethay Hoeppner (13G 7A), Rachel Borland (10G 8A) Jozi Ozurumba (10 G 3 A) while Tara Palmreuter (8G 9A) looks to create opportunities out of the midfield. Daria Klotz (3.15 GAA) handles the duties in goal.
