Women's Tennis Wins Second Straight

Lakeland's Women's Tennis defeated Concordia WI, 5-4 Tuesday afternoon in Mequon.
The Muskies are now 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the LMC. Concordia fell to 1-3 overall
and 1-2 in conference.
The Muskies top three singles players all won. Number one singles Hanaka Murakami continued her domination with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Cody Carlson also won at number 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) and Heidi Heling held on at number 3 for a 6-1, 6-4 victory.
Lakeland's top two doubles teams won as well. Murakami/ Carlson won 8-6 and Heling Hentges rolled 8-1.
All of the matches were one-sided except for number 1 doubles and number 4 singles where Lakeland freshman Lisa Hentges lost a tough three-set match.
Overall, the macth was decided by the veteran leadership of Murakami, Carlson, and Heling, who were involved in all five of Lakeland's victories.
The Muskies next match is Thursday, Sept. 18th against Mount Mary in Milwaukee at 3:00 pm.
