Women's Tennis Dismantles MSOE

The Lakeland Muskies Women's Tennis Team rolled past the Raiders of MSOE at
Lakeland on Saturday, 8-1. The Muskies improved to 4-1 overall and remain undefeated
at 3-0 in the LMC, while MSOE fell to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the LMC.
Lakeland's Hanaka Murakami continues to play unbelievable tennis. Murakami blanked the Raider's Laura Vogel at number one singles 6-0, 6-0. Murakami has won 60 out of 66 games during her unbeaten streak.
Cody Carlson cruised in her number two singles match 6-0, 6-1. Heidi Heling dominated number three singles 6-1, 6-0 and Lisa Hentges shutout MSOE's Melissa Craig 6-0, 6-0.
Lakeland also swept their doubles matches. Murakami/ Carlson rolled 8-0 in number one doubles, number two doubles Heling/ Hentges won 8-6, and the number three doubles was won by Lakeland in a default.
The Muskies next match is at home against the Edgewood Eagles on September 24th at 3:30pm.
