Muskie Wrestlers Fall To UW-Platteville

The Lakeland College Wrestling Team fell 36-15 to UW-Platteville Thursday evening in Platteville. It was the season opening match for the Pointers who are currently ranked 26th in the nation.

The Muskies were led by Trevor Berndt (165 lbs) and Tim Vallier (174 lbs) who won by pin, but also lost two matches by pin as well at 125 and 133 lbs. Mark VandenHoogen had the only other victory for Lakeland with a 6-1 victory at 285 lbs.

Unfortunately, the Muskies were forced to forfeit two matches at 141 and 149 due to injuries.

Lakeland's next match is Dec. 2nd at UW-Stevens Point.
