Wrestling Suffers Devastating Defeat at Stevens Point

The Lakeland College wrestlers suffered a dominating loss to ninth ranked UW-Stevens Point, Tuesday night, 40-3.

The Muskies' lone win came from Sonny Martinez (157 lbs.) in a 9-4 decision. Lakeland lost by pin in the 133 and 174 lb. weight classes, both to nationally ranked wrestlers.

The Muskies were forced to forfeit four matches at 125, 149, 165, and 184.

Lakeland's wrestlers' next match will be against UW-Whitewater at 6 p.m. at Burlington High.
