Lakeland Wrestlers Fall To UW-Whitewater

The Lakeland College Wrestlers traveled to Burlington High School to take on UW-Whitewater in a dual match Thursday evening and returned home with a difficult 42 to -1 loss.

The young Muskies, under the direction of Pete Rogers, are continuing their rebuilding plan of competing against strong programs to help them get better for the future.

133- Mike Elsbury(UWW) won by decision over Scott Toledo 5-1
141- Nick Karls(UWW) pinned Noe DeLeon in 1:23
(-1 team point as a result of unsportsmanlike conduct against DeLeon)
149- Ross Babcock(UWW) wins by Forfeit
157- Tony Wright(UWW) won by decision over Sonny Martinez 4-2
165- Eric Verbeten(UWW) won by decision over Trevor Berndt 4-0
174- Jeff Zastrow(UWW) pinned Tim Vallier in 3:33
184- Rob Youngsma(UWW) pinned Lee Sparks in 5:50
197- Scott Piche(UWW) won by decision over Ryan Rivera in Overtime 14-12
285- Paul Collins(UWW) pinned Mark VandenHoogen in :24
