Summer Camps - Music Camp
July 27 - August 2
"Got Music?" Whether your ears are full of Mozart, Yo Yo Ma, Herbie Mann, or Madonna, an unforgettable Music Camp experience awaits at Lakeland! For 52 years, we've been building a tradition of excellence in quality music education - and our report card shows we're just growing stronger! If you're a student in grades 7-12, come join our performance groups and receive private or semi-private instruction from a specialist on your chosen instrument or voice.
We're rated one of the very best in the Midwest for both the value and the quality of our music instruction. Last year alone, we saw an almost 20% increase in enrollment! We're known for our hand-selected, seasoned faculty and our nurturing environment, no matter what your level. With a strong core curriculum and imaginative electives, we'll bring out your best, whether you've "got the music" as a career choice, or just love it!
Come experience a week of memories to last a lifetime! Fun-filled activities round out busy days -- a pizza party, a dance, a talent show and various concerts. At week's end, parents are invited back for a special celebration of your learning and practice. We'll show off with our ensemble concerts and the finale performance.

Attendance and Tuition Refund Policies
Full participation in all camp activities is a required of all resident campers. Students unable to participate fully should not enroll. Any known potential conflicts for which the camper would need to be excused should be invited to the director of the camp no later than July 1st. The decision of the camp director will be final. Conflicts that interfere with the Saturday performances will not be approved under any circumstances. It is at this end-of-camp event that the main ensembles perform the pieces they have worked on throughout the week. Successful ensemble performances depend on the continuity of balance and membership that is practiced at the rehearsals—each member of the ensemble is important!
Tuition, which is due in full Sunday, July 27th, is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any camper who must leave camp due to death in the immediate family or serious illness may receive a prorated refund of the unused portion.
