35 faculty members teach at Music Camp and campers have at least 7 instructional periods per day, more if they choose to take private lessons. There are 4 music divisions of camp: Band, Choir, Piano, and Orchestra. The faculty members who lead those divisions are, respectively:
Janet L. Herrick, MM, Professor of Music at Lakeland College Conductor of Lakeland Singers, Concert Choir, Frauenchor, and the Handbell Ensemble, Professor Herrick is also the creator and director of the Sheboygan Symphony Chorus. In addition, she plays double bass with the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra.
Arthur T. Johnson, DMA, Associate Professor of Music at Lakeland College Director of the piano program at Lakeland College, Dr. Johnson is also an active private piano instructor and solo and ensemble musician whose students have won prize awards in state and national competitions. He is a much sought after lecturer and adjudicator.
Russell T. Pettitt was named Director of Bands at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, in 2009. At Lakeland, Mr. Pettitt conducts the Concert Band, directs Muskie pep bands, and teaches classes in music education and music appreciation. Mr. Pettitt's previous positions include serving on the music faculty at the University of Arkansas and as a public school band director with school districts in Virginia and Texas..
Warren Bergmann, Orchestra Teacher, Menasha, WI Director of the High School and Middle School Orchestra programs in Menasha, Professor Bergmann was principal cellist with the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra for 12 years. He was also Director for the Sheboygan Area Youth Symphony for 10 years.
