Music Camp - Faculty

Faculty members at Lakeland's Music Camp are comprised of outstanding performers and educators from Lakeland College and throughout the state. The heads of each division of camp are:

Janet L. Herrick, MM, Professor of Music at Lakeland College:
Professor Herrick is the conductor of Lakeland Singers, Concert Choir, Frauenchor, and the Handbell Ensemble. She is also the director of The Sheboygan Symphony Chorus and plays double bass with The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra.

Arthur T. Johnson, DMA, Associate Professor of Music at Lakeland College:
Dr. Johnson is the director of the piano program at Lakeland College. He is also an active private piano instructor and solo and ensemble musician whose students have won prize awards in state and national competitions.

Russell T. Pettitt, DMA, Assistant Professor of Music at Lakeland College:
In addition to serving as Music Camp director, Dr. Pettitt conducts the Lakeland College Concert Band, directs the Jazz Ensemble and Muskie pep bands, and teaches courses in music education and applied brass. Previous experience includes service on the music faculty at the University of Arkansas and in Texas public schools.

Warren Bergmann, MM, Orchestra Teacher, Menasha, WI:
Mr. Bergmann is the director of the High School and Middle School Orchestra programs in Menasha. He was principal cellist with The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra for 12 years and director of the Sheboygan Area Youth Symphony for 10 years.
