Ways To Give
Annually, more than 2,000 individuals, corporations, and foundations support the college through a variety of types of charitable gifts. Each gift, no matter the size, helps to deliver the promise of a Lakeland College education to our students of today and tomorrow.
To support the most pressing needs of Lakeland College, donors annually make outright gifts of cash, checks, credit cards, securities, stock, real estate, and personal property. Most often these gifts are directed to The Annual Fund. Gifts to The Annual Fund help to provide support for four critical areas at Lakeland:
- Student scholarships
- Faculty salaries and professional development
- Academic and extracurricular programs
- Maintenance of our campus
In addition, many our alumni and friends believe in the importance of providing for the college's future through estate gifts. These gifts include bequests and a host of life-income vehicles such as charitable annuities and charitable remainder unitrusts. Most estate gifts are designated for the college's permanent endowment.
In addition to gifts to The Annual Fund and endowment, Lakeland College also receives gifts directed to enhancing existing programs and facilities. Many donors support Lakeland College through the donation of gifts-in-kind. And, it's important to note the wonderful help the college receives each year as a result of the hard work of hundreds of volunteers.
We extend a mighty "Muskie" thank you for your commitment ot the students and faculty of Lakeland College.
